“I want to say thank you to the brothers at True Nikkah. It was a very pleasant, easy going and relaxing experience. They were patient and happy to answer any questions. Nothing was rushed or complicated. My wife and I truly enjoyed it, and anyone who uses their service will be very well taken care of.”

Dr Mahmoud Abdelrahman, Director at True Nikkah
True Nikkah arranges online nikah ceremonies for Muslim couples throughout the UK, conducted by expert scholars trained in classical Islamic jurisprudence. Wherever you are in the country, and whatever your circumstances, we handle every part of the arrangement so that all you have to do is say qabool.
A qualified Imam. He leads the ceremony from the opening khutbah through to the closing dua, confirms the mahr, and satisfies himself that every condition of a valid nikah has been met before pronouncing you married.
A ceremony at a time that suits you. Held over Zoom or Microsoft Teams, at whatever hour works for the two of you. Family and friends anywhere in the UK or abroad can join using the same link.
Your nikah certificate. Issued digitally straight after the ceremony, recording both of your names, the mahr agreed, your witnesses and the date. A printed copy can be posted to your UK address.
Someone to speak to. Our team looks after your booking from first enquiry through to the ceremony itself, so you are never left wondering what happens next.
Not every couple in the UK has these in place, and none of it needs to hold you up.
Whenever you are ready. Most ceremonies across the UK are arranged within a few days, and urgent bookings can be held within 24 hours.
Some couples plan weeks ahead. Others need it done before a flight, a visa appointment, or simply because they would rather not wait any longer. Tell us your timeframe and we will tell you honestly what is possible.
Fill in the form with your details and preferred timing. It takes just a few minutes.
We confirm your Imam, arrange a wali and witnesses if you need them, and confirm the time you have asked for.
You join the call, your Imam leads the ceremony, and your certificate follows shortly after.
From £149, including a qualified Imam, the full ceremony over Zoom or Teams, and your digital nikah certificate.
If you need a wali, witnesses, a printed certificate posted to you, or a ceremony sooner than three days, those can be added when you book. Every price is shown before you pay.
Full refund any time before your ceremony.
Every ceremony is conducted by a qualified Imam trained in classical Islamic jurisprudence, each with years of experience officiating nikah for couples in a wide range of circumstances.
They handle the cases other services find difficult. Reverts with no Muslim family able to take part. Brides for whom no wali is available. Couples at opposite ends of the country, or with one partner overseas and families watching from a third. None of this is unusual to them, and they will tell you honestly what applies to your situation before you book.
A nikah is a religious marriage under Islamic law, and it is not registered with any authority in the UK. That is just as true of a nikah at your local mosque as it is of one held online.
For most couples that is exactly what they are looking for. The nikah is what makes the marriage valid in Islam, and that is what matters to them. If you would also like your marriage recognised legally, that is a separate step you can take through a register office.
Yes. What makes a nikah valid is the contract itself, not the room it takes place in. Islamic law sets out what’s required: a clear offer and acceptance made in one sitting, two adult Muslim witnesses who can hear it, an agreed mahr, and the bride’s consent freely given.
A live video call meets all of this. You and your partner hear and answer one another in real time, your witnesses are present and listening, and your Imam confirms each condition before pronouncing the marriage complete. What scholars have always required is that everyone is genuinely present to the exchange, and video does that.
Your Imam will walk you both through it beforehand, so you know what’s being said and when.
Yes. Where the bride does not have a wali available, we can appoint one for the ceremony in accordance with Islamic guidance.
The wali is the bride’s guardian, ordinarily her father, and his role is to consent to the marriage on her behalf and to be present when the contract is made. Where he is able to attend, we would always encourage it. There are plenty of situations in which that is not possible, however, and none of them need stop a marriage going ahead.
Circumstances vary, and so does the guidance that applies to them. If you are not sure where you stand, speak to us before booking and we will talk it through with you.
Yes. If you do not have your own, we can provide two practising Muslim witnesses for your ceremony.
A valid nikah requires two adult Muslim witnesses of sound mind, present when the offer and acceptance are made and able to hear both of you clearly. On a video call they join using the same link as everyone else.
Many couples bring their own, often a brother, a friend, or someone from their local community. Others would rather keep the ceremony between themselves, or simply do not have two people nearby who are able to join. Either way, it is straightforward to arrange.
Yes, and we do this often. You are a Muslim, and your nikah is arranged exactly as it would be for anyone else.
The practical questions are usually about family. If you have no Muslim relatives to act as wali, or nobody to stand as witness, we can arrange both. If your family are not Muslim and would like to watch, they are welcome to join the call. Your Imam can also explain what is happening as the ceremony goes along, so that nobody is left guessing.
If you are newly Muslim and unsure what is expected of you, just ask. Nothing about the process assumes you already know.
Yes, in the case Islamic law permits. A Muslim man may marry a woman from the People of the Book, meaning a practising Christian or Jewish woman, and we arrange those ceremonies in the usual way. Your wife does not need to convert, and the nikah is conducted exactly as any other.
A Muslim woman’s marriage to a non-Muslim man is not valid in Islam, so that is not something we are able to carry out.
If you are unsure whether your circumstances qualify, speak to us before booking.
Everywhere. The ceremony takes place over video, so where you live makes no difference to whether we can marry you. We conduct nikah for couples in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Bradford, Leeds, Glasgow, Cardiff, Belfast and every town and city in between.
You and your partner do not need to be in the same place either. Plenty of our couples are at opposite ends of the country, and plenty have one partner overseas. We schedule around whatever the distance happens to be.
Around twenty minutes from joining the call to being married.
Your Imam opens with a khutbah, confirms the mahr with you both, and takes the offer and acceptance in front of your witnesses. Once the two of you have accepted, he closes with a dua and you are married.
If family are watching, allow a little longer so that everyone can join and settle before you begin. Plenty of couples stay on the call afterwards for congratulations.
You don’t need to.There is only a small amount of Arabic in a nikah, and you do not need to speak it.
Your Imam recites the khutbah, and you say qabool to accept the marriage. If there is a dua or a short phrase he would like you to repeat, he says it line by line and you follow along. He goes through all of it with you beforehand, so there is nothing to memorise and nothing to worry about getting wrong.
Everything else, including the mahr and the terms of the contract, is discussed in English so that you both understand exactly what you are agreeing to.
Both of your full names, dates of birth, and the mahr you have agreed between you. If you are bringing your own wali or witnesses, we will need their names as well. Nothing else is needed to book.
Yes. Anyone you invite can join using the same link, whether they are elsewhere in the UK or abroad. Some couples have a room full of guests, others keep it to themselves and their witnesses.
Both of your names, the mahr agreed, your witnesses, the date of the ceremony, and the name of the Imam who conducted it. It is issued digitally straight after the ceremony.
Yes. A printed certificate can be posted to your UK address, and it can be added when you book or afterwards if you decide later.
Anywhere quiet with a stable connection. Most couples are at home. A phone works perfectly well, though a laptop or tablet is easier if family are joining. All you need is a device with a camera and a working microphone.
Your Imam will wait and resume once everyone is back. Nothing is concluded until both of you have given your offer and acceptance in front of your witnesses, so a dropped connection cannot leave you half married.
Yes. Let us know as early as you can and we will find another time, at no charge. If you decide not to go ahead at all, you are refunded in full at any point before the ceremony.
Payment is taken securely online when you book, in pounds sterling. Every cost, including anything you add such as a wali or witnesses, is shown before you pay.
That is very common. Your Imam goes through the whole ceremony with you beforehand, tells you exactly when to speak, and guides you through it on the day. You will not be caught out.
Email us at info@truenikkah.co.uk and we will get back to you quickly. You can also message us on WhatsApp or use the chat on this page. If you have a question about your circumstances before booking, ask us first and we will tell you honestly whether we can help.
